10 Must Do’s (or Do Not’s) When Starting (and scaling) Small Businesses
Reid Hoffman (founder of LinkedIn) and Tim Ferris (author of 4-hr work week) are Silicon Valley darlings who now spend the majority of their time helping entrepreneurs build successful companies. They have shared a lot of advice based on famous successes and failures (it’s said when people make mistakes, all is not lost. It can always be used as a bad example).
Anyone who has started a new business within the past 24 months will do well to learn some practical tips from the people who have been where you now are.
- How to handle rejection
- Doing things that don’t scale (that’s a good thing!)
- The trick to raising money to fuel your growth
- Releasing products and services before they’re ready for prime time (it’s encouraged!)
- A bad decision is often better than no decision. Act, fast and often!
- How to think about your first (and second, and third) hire
What Other’s are Saying:
When I joined Communo, I found exactly what I was looking for through their coaching program. I’m getting clarity on all of the areas in my business to take it to the next level from being a solopreneur to a marketing team that leverages Communo’s community. My agency has already grown by 60% in 2017 and 2018 is already looking like another big year for my team. I’m incredibly grateful for the business chops that I’m acquiring and looking forward to what’s coming up next!
