HOT DESKS AT A GLANCE


Our Hot Desks service has been created for those who need a flexible workspace, not necessarily a private office or a permanent desk. With a Hot Desk plan you can visit any of our Compounds, grab any open seat in the common areas and start working. A new seat everyday means you’ll have an increased chance of networking with other Communo members as well as collaborating.

 


Access

Access to Hot Desks are limited to the current availability at any of our compounds. Hot Desks are available, first-come, first-served, between 8:30 and 5:00pm local time.


Location

Choose your preferred location in any of our compounds. Prices vary depending on market rates of the chosen location.


Extras

Conference rooms are available to those who Hot Desk! Once you’re signed in, you can book available rooms with the Office Manager who will help you select the right room for your needs.

Onsite Staff

We have a Vibe Director on Staff between 8:30-5:00 Monday through Friday to manage the community.


Cleaning Services

To keep your workspace presentable for your guests, our cleaning services take place after work hours each day.


Beverages

We keep a refrigerator stocked with popular soft drinks and refreshments


Snacks

Snacks are chosen at the discretion of the Vibe Director and purchased weekly. Feel free to make suggestions!


Billing & Payment

Desks are $25 per day, per person. You will be invoiced monthly for the balance of you rentals.


Lightning Fast Internet

WiFi is available for all Communo members. Internet access is provided at no-charge.


Coffee & Tea

Coffee and Tea is available throughout the day in the Lounge and Kitchen area.


Jump Days

Hosted monthly, these catered new-business, cross-pollination events allow you to showcase yourself, your services, and your latest work right across the Communo network. While members of your city’s compound will be in the Conference Room, other members from across North America will also be there, live, via Highfive teleconference. Catering is provided at the discretion of the Vibe Director, but suggestions are welcomed!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


What is the difference between a Hot Desk, Dedicated Desk and Private Office?

A Hot Desk is a shared workspace in a common area. You are not required to book in advance you, you can come and go as you please and use any desk that is available.

A Dedicated desk is a desk that is assigned specifically to you. You will not share it with other Communo members, unless you wish to and you are able to store your personal belongings overnight. Dedicated Desks have access to conference rooms for free.

A Private office is a fully enclosed loackage space that is intended for teams of 1-10 people. Your company can add more offices as you group and you can potentially work with vibe directors to design/develop custom spaces for your specific needs.

How do I rent a Hot Desk?

To rent a hot desk, you can visit or hot desks page and use the form to check availability, and rent your temporary desk for the day.

How do I rent a Dedicated Desk or Private Office?

You can rent a desk in our Kingston or Calgary compounds by visiting the pages and requesting a tour. The vibe director of the city will respond to you within three business days to arrange for your visit.

How is Payment Managed?

Hot Desks are managed locally by the Vibe Directors of each Compound. You will be invoiced at the end of each month at the market rate for the desks you have rented. Payment schedules for Dedicated desks and Private Offices are outlined in your rental agreement. Payment can be made by Credit Card or Auto Withdrawl.
